Should High Schools Require Student to Read the "Classics"?

           There are many good books in the reading world. In that collection there are many classics and most people still read the classics. Although this is true there is an argument about weather or not high school teachers should be making their students read classics. Through studies there is much reason that high schools should be reading the classics. The classics can prepare you for higher level classes in college. "Students who have read "classics" are better prepared for college literature classes, because they will have background knowledge of woks that other writers refer to” (Should high schools require students to read the “classics”?). Being prepared is great and being prepared for a college class is really good. Teachers also say that “asking students to read books that they are unable to understand because of unfamiliar vocabulary, syntax, or underlying culture” (Should high schools require students to read the “classics”?). With teachers knowing this they have to introduce students to these classics earlier in their life so when they have to read a book with a different kind of vocabulary they should be ready. Classics are very good to read and teachers should make student read these books because it only leads to good outcomes.

H ow can you apply the concepts of academic writing to your own writing?           I can apply the concepts of academic writing to my own writing by using all the steps of the writing process to whrite a better essay. There are some steps to writing an essay that I have never done including identifying your audience. Although I never heard of it or used it in one of my writings it is very important because if you were talking to a younger audience  compared to an older audience they will see ideas differently and have different opinions because their life has shaped them differenty then it would shape someone who grew up in a different generation.  This could help me to become a better writer because all these processes and revising your writing multiple times will teach you how to write an essay properly and will improve how you work. What's a Hero

What is a Hero Heroes come in many shapes and sizes but they usually have the same qualities. Some similar qualities that I think a hero has is that they are a good role model. They are also the person that will do the right thing and make the right call even in a tough situation. A hero is also someone who will make a sacrifice for the good of others. To me a hero is someone who will stand up for others and will lead others in the right direction. A hero should also be very generous and they should also be the person that you look up to for advice in a tough situation.  A hero is someone to look to for answers on what is right and what is wrong.
