Should High Schools Require Student to Read the "Classics"?

           There are many good books in the reading world. In that collection there are many classics and most people still read the classics. Although this is true there is an argument about weather or not high school teachers should be making their students read classics. Through studies there is much reason that high schools should be reading the classics. The classics can prepare you for higher level classes in college. "Students who have read "classics" are better prepared for college literature classes, because they will have background knowledge of woks that other writers refer to” (Should high schools require students to read the “classics”?). Being prepared is great and being prepared for a college class is really good.
